Born Idris Tijani in kumasi, regional capital of the Ashanti region in Ghana in the late 80s, he started music when he was in high school, In 2011 he joined Tv3 mentor, a reality TV singing competition and made it to the finals but was evicted. When the show ended he moved to the capital Accra where he came out with his first single ‘Zombie’ under the label Bladeline entertainment, the first label he signed on to in 2012.
In 2013 he joined OM music, a record label belonging to Abraham Ohene Djan, the CEO of OM studios and released a couple of singles under that label, with hits like Puyaka and ‘Ni da ke’(Me and U). Tijani sings in Hausa, a common language in West and North Africa, in Twi and in English. Tijani AKA Tijani Pepe has rebranded and changed the spelling of his name to ‘TIJVNI’ but still pronounced ‘Tijani’ for marketing purpose and easy identification as it’s stands out since Tijani is quite a common name in Africa. The V in the name is an ‘A’ turned upside down, and the ‘V’ also represent his vocal prowers which quite unique and distinct.
Tijvni is out with a new single he calls ‘Falling’ as an independent artist, the song is produced by Hylanderbeatz and mix by Redemptionbeatz. The single came out with a video, shot and directed by Kobe Outta in January 2019.
